en world’s 3rd Casual Lunch Session

2025.12.25

ENABLING SUCCESS For Us — So that we can continue to grow, for the success of our clients.

At en world, we host casual sharing sessions to deepen mutual understanding among employees and to share knowledge, trends, and know-how—so that we can maximize our clients’ potential for success.

In our third lunch session, we held a discussion themed “What does enabling success mean to enworld employees?”
Facilitated by Yusuke Yamamoto, the session featured four speakers—Megumi Nakao, Shima Hashizume, Rika Kato, and Samuel Orme.
Drawing on their diverse backgrounds, each speaker shared, in their own words, the career values they hold dear and how they came to choose their current paths. Through reflections on career turning points and how they have navigated uncertainty, the discussion offered honest and relatable insights.

Shima Hashizume spoke about how detours and roundabout paths in one’s career are never wasted. Every experience connects like dots to shape who we are today. Even when it feels like you’ve strayed from your goals, there is always something you’ve gained along the way — and that is why you should have confidence in who you are now. Her message was both reassuring and empowering.

Samuel Orme shared that building a career doesn’t always start with a clearly defined plan. Rather than being bound by job titles or industry labels, he emphasized the importance of reflecting on what you’re genuinely good at and what kind of work gives you a sense of fulfillment. By focusing on the tasks you enjoy and the areas where you naturally perform at your best—and continuously building the skills that support them—you can gradually shape a career path that feels right for you.

Megumi Nakao shared how putting her concerns into words — and then taking action — has supported key turning points in her career. By talking things through with others and verbalizing her thoughts, she’s been able to deepen her self-awareness and take the next step forward. She explained how these small but consistent actions have guided her toward a working style that truly feels right for her.

Rika Kato reflected on her long career as a consultant, explaining that whenever she faced doubts or obstacles, she consistently asked herself: What kind of consultant do I want to be? What do I want to achieve? By thinking deeply and acting on those answers, she has shaped her own professional style. What she values most today is being the first person clients think of when they face hiring challenges — not just a vendor, but a trusted partner they can easily consult and openly bounce ideas with.

Finally, facilitator Yusuke Yamamoto shared the concept of “Impact” as a key axis in his career decisions, from three perspectives:

  1. What kind of impact the business or work can have on society
  2. What value and contribution he himself can provide to the organization
  3. Whether being in a new environment allows him to grow

When these three perspectives overlap, he believes work becomes both meaningful and enjoyable — and, as a result, creates positive impact beyond oneself. Reflecting on his own experiences, he shared that this way of thinking continues to guide his decisions today.

Throughout the session, participants had the opportunity to reexamine their approach to work, making it a meaningful and engaging experience. Many practical takeaways were shared—insights that can be applied immediately in day-to-day work.
Through these ongoing learning opportunities, we will continue to broaden our perspectives and bring “ENABLING SUCCESS For Us” to life, expanding the potential of every candidate, client, and employee.
